Nautanki Workshop (3 of 3)

Dear Hindi Sangam Community,

Hindi Sangam is proud to bring an exciting new cultural program to the Portland community—Nautanki, one of North India’s most vibrant and influential folk theatre traditions. Through a series of virtual workshops led by renowned artists and theatre practitioners from India, participants will have a unique opportunity to learn about this rich performing art, develop performance skills, and eventually take part in a live Nautanki production.

We will have three zoom sessions on June 23, 25, 30 at 8:30PM. Single registration for all sessions, and you are encourage to attend all three sessions with different topics and different artists.

यह आखिरी सत्र इतिहास को आज के समय से जोड़ेगा, ताकि युवा कलाकार यह समझ सकें कि यह कला उनके लिए आज कैसे उपयोगी है। या इनमें आजकल क्या हो रहा है, और इस तरह की नाट्य परंपरा में पुरानी कहानियों में नया रंग कैसे घोलते हैं…

चर्चा के बिंदु

• स्वांग (सांग) और नौटंकी एक ही परंपरा के अलग-अलग रूप कैसे हैं और क्षेत्रीय स्तर पर इनमें क्या समानताएं हैं।
• आज की जनरेशन इस लोक नाट्य शैली का इस्तेमाल आधुनिक नाटकों में कैसे कर रही है।
• एक आधुनिक अभिनेता अपने अभिनय को निखारने के लिए नौटंकी से क्या सीख सकता है।
