Nautanki Workshop

Posted on June 18, 2026June 18, 2026 By Palakshi Tuteja

Dear Hindi Sangam Community,

Hindi Sangam is proud to bring an exciting new cultural program to the Portland community—Nautanki, one of North India’s most vibrant and influential folk theatre traditions. Through a series of virtual workshops led by renowned artists and theatre practitioners from India, participants will have a unique opportunity to learn about this rich performing art, develop performance skills, and eventually take part in a live Nautanki production.

We extend our grateful thanks to Oregon Cultural Trust and Beaverton Arts Commission for extending grants to support this initiative in part. This way we can bring to you this unique workshop free of cost.

Join us for an engaging journey into the world of storytelling, music, poetry, and theatre while helping preserve and celebrate an important part of India’s cultural heritage.
